Carlos Parisi, host of Detroit Digest, raves about the banh mi sandwich at the Vietnamese restaurant Pho Lucky, 311 Woodward Ave. in Detroit. Made on a homemade crispy baguette, it includes cilantro, carrots, cucumbers, mayo and pork.
"Perfectly crispy exterior," says Parisi after digging in. "Beautifully pillowy interior. Warm roll with a multitude of textures inside here."
He also samples Vietnamese spring rolls, Pho and a traditional drip, Vietnames iced coffee.
"It is truly a bang-for-your-buck establishment," he says.
