After a decisive 47-9 beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Detroit Lions Coach Dan Campbell gave his usual spirited post-game talk to the team.
"This is the tightest this group has been, this is the tighest this 2024 team has been," Campbell said in the visitor's locker room at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. "We found something special last year, man, I felt it going into this game. Man, It’s like we’re in here together and I don’t’ feel people pulling us away. Nobody’s coming out of that circule, man. That’s exactly where you want to be right now."
"It’s a hell of a win. You guys didn’t let off the gas. It's the way to finish it out."
He gave game balls to quarterback Jared Goff and safety Brian Branch.
After that, Goff applauded Campbell and gave him his football.
The Lions are 4-1 and play the undefeated 5-0 Minnesota Vikings next Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
