Updated: 1:37 p.m., Tuesday -- Detroit Lions Coach Dan Campbell responded to reports that Jameson Williams will get hit with a two-game suspension.

"I can’t really say anything about it till the league gives judgment and it comes out on their end, I’m not supposed to really comment on it," Campbell said on WXYT-FM. "

"All I can tell you is, we’re prepared to not have him and we’ll be fine. That’s why we got Leaf (Kalif Raymond) and (Amon-Ra) St. Brown and (Sam) LaPorta and TP (Tim Patrick) and Allen Robinson, among others, with David Montgomery, (Jahmyr) Gibbs, so we’ll be fine," said Campbell. "We’ll move on. When this thing comes down, if it does, when it comes down, we’ll be fine."

Wide receiver Jameson Williams, who is proving to be a powerful weapon for the Detroit Lions, is facing a two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances policy, ESPN reports, citing unnamed sources.

This isn't his first suspension.

Last year, he was initially suspended for six games at the start of the 2023 season for violating the league's gambling policy. He made bets on sports at the Lions' facility, but not on the NFL. That suspension was eventually reduced to four games.

If it takes effect this week, Williams, 23, will miss a home game on Sunday against the 1-5 Tennessee Titans. He'd also miss the game the following Sunday against the very competitive Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
